It is important to understand how we got here. How civilization went from thriving, to surviving. Change, whether good or bad, for better or worse, begins and ends with us. We have no one to blame except the person starting back at us when we gaze into the mirror. The health crisis we are enduring is a direct result of us, the people, allowing it to happen. Our current, widely accepted diet and nutritional standards are not the large, greedy corporation’s fault, the elites sitting at the top, the government's, or the hyper-palatable and addictive food’s fault, it is our fault, collectively as a civilization. Each of us have a choice, and each of us play a role. We can choose to conform to the narrative and consume the food that is promoted by mainstream media and big business, to become docile and complacent and believe the lies we are told, to question nothing, to be sick and unhealthy, and never seek out the root cause of disease. Or, we can choose to go our own way. We can choose to consume foods that thousands of years of intuition and instinct tell us are healthy, foods that we truly enjoy because they nourish and heal our bodies, to question everything and break away from the industrial food, medical, and pharmaceutical industries. We can choose to blaze our own path, to reunite and regain our strength, resilience, and power. Unfortunately, the current state of our reality indicates that we, as a civilization, have chosen the former. But it is never too late to change.

The current trajectory of the world indicates that we are trending steadily towards an era where the majority of the population will be solely reliant on large corporate industries to meet most consumer demands, including, and especially in regard to nutrition. These industries have one goal and it is not in the best interest of consumers. That goal is a little thing referred to as profit. However, with profit comes greed. To meet this goal, large corporations must create products that have a long shelf life, travel well, are made using low quality, cheap ingredients, are hyper-palatable, and leave consumers wanting more. The result is called processed food, and it is everywhere. Processed food is so deeply ingrained into our culture, it is going to take a major reform and a major change to eradicate it.
When you dig deeply into this topic you begin to uncover some shocking truths. You will find that healthcare and pharmaceutical industries support and promote greedy corporate food industries, and greedy corporate food industries back and support certain health and nutritional industries by backing and funding nutritional studies, and elite government agencies essentially control and them all by setting regulations and laws, implementing taxes, dictating educational curriculum, and by issuing nutritional and health guidelines that prop them all up. This realization makes one thing abundantly clear, and that is that no one is coming to save us. We cannot wait for a reform or a change to flow down from the top because it will never happen, there is simply too much at stake and too much money to be lost. There will never be another person who has our best interests in mind that is greater than ourselves.
One concept that is widely and far too often believed, is that one person cannot make a difference. When you step back and think about it, it is a bit disparaging. One person taking on an industry that is full of millionaires and billionaires, powerful, established, well-regarded companies and high-ranking officials. When viewing the task of change from this angle, everything begins to look very daunting and bleak. However, the power that we, as individuals hold, is far more profound than most of us realize.

As individuals, our power doesn’t come from an elite corporate backing or from millions or billions of dollars. It doesn’t come from an endless disposal of lawyers or a voice with millions of followers. It comes from our power to choose. Each of us as individuals, have the power to choose where we spend our money and how we spend our time. We have the power to choose how we shop, where we source our food, and how we live our lives. We have the power to control our health and what we put into our bodies. All it takes is one person to change their life for others to see the impact and realize the positive benefits. Soon, that single individual turns into two individuals, then into three, then into four, then into hundreds, and then thousands. All these individuals, each with limited money, reach, and support, when combined, form a force that is more powerful than any corporate or government agency could ever be, and it doesn’t take unity or an orchestrated movement for this to happen. This is entirely possible even if these individuals never see or speak to each other. There is strength in numbers and the more individuals that break away from the industrial food, health, and pharmaceutical industries, the closer we get to tipping the scales and begin regaining our power and independence.
Every dollar we spend and how we use each minute of our time is a vote. It is a vote to either continue to support greedy corporations and further contribute to the decline of our health and independence, or it is a vote to regain our power, health, and independence. By sourcing our food from local, family-owned farms and businesses, by eating real, whole, natural foods, by focusing on nutrient-dense animal products, by growing and providing our own food, and by shopping with and supporting local businesses, we begin to blaze a trail that others will follow. Every dollar and every minute spent supporting and striving towards a lifestyle that improves our health, wellness, and our lives, is a vote in favor of the people, bringing us one step closer to nutritional and economical independence where we are free from fixed markets with inflated prices, free from chronic disease and obesity, and forever free to choose what and how we eat. This is a vote that will put money back into the pockets of hard-working men and women, entrepreneurs, and small business owners, driving growth and boosting local economies. This is a vote that will allow us to thrive.
All around the world there are individuals sharing a common goal, to change and improve their lives for the better, each choosing to vote in favor of the people in order to live a happy and fulfilled life of abundance, free from pain and disease. And all around the world, these individuals are sharing the same sense of despair, wondering how they, as individuals could ever make a difference, not knowing that they already have. We've been tricked into believing that if we want change we have to wait for the polls to open to cast our vote and that we are limited to the candidates listed on the ballot. But the polls never close and our votes are limitless, the power of change lies in each and every one of us through the actions we take every second of every day. This is an election where every vote truly does count count, so don't wait to cast yours.
